Arranging an assessment

Assessment takes place in the outpatient clinic of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital, 301 Huafu Avenue North Section, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. Call the outpatient line, or use the channel described on the appointments page, and say that you are asking about mesotherapy so that the right clinic time is booked.

What the consultation settles

The assessment establishes first whether your complaint is one an injected mixture can be asked about, since a change in the surface of the skin, a loss of volume and a scar arrive at the same clinic and belong to different treatments. It examines the skin, takes a history of previous injectable treatment and of any reaction to one, reviews your medication including anything that affects clotting, and asks about allergy, pregnancy and breastfeeding. If a mixture is being proposed, you should leave knowing what is in it as a list of substances, which parts are licensed products and which are prepared, how many sessions are planned and at what interval, when the course will be judged, and what would make the answer no.

What to bring

Bring a list of your medication, including anything that affects clotting, and any record of previous injectable treatment with dates and substance names if you have them. If you have had mesotherapy before and were not told what was in it, say so, because that history is part of the assessment. Tell the team about any allergy, any delayed reaction to an injected substance, any autoimmune condition, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Photographs of your own skin from some years ago are more useful here than most people expect.
